History
Originally known as Campus to the Capitol Week, Actifest began in the spring of 2006 and has been an annual event. Comprised of a coalition of student groups, Actifest is a week-long series of events hosted by individual groups as well as coalition events throughout the week. Every year has ended in a coalition concert.
Close to all U of M student groups are invited to be part of Actifest, however over the years the Actifest Coalition's main points of unity have naturally become progressive and nonpartisan activism and civic engagement.
